Atlanta – October 30, 2012 – ControlByNet, a leader in cloud-based, hosted video security surveillance solutions for dealers, installers, businesses and security companies, announced today full HTML5 compatibility for video for its hosted surveillance solutions.   i-flashback is an easy to use, 100-percent browser-based application installed as either an onsite solution, remotely hosted solution or any number of combinations.  Available in fourth quarter of 2012, the addition of HTML5 will make online viewing of security footage easier and more accessible on the latest smartphones, tablets and browsers.

“The use of mobile devices continues to develop in the enterprise market.  A recent industry report found that more than 65 percent of employees now use two or more devices each day including desktops, laptops, smartphones and tablets,” said Ryan Strange, CEO of ControlByNet.  “The addition of HTML5 allows our customers using i-flashback to maximize our solution on the latest smartphones and tablets including the iPhone, iPad, Windows Mobile, Android and Blackberry –all without the requirement of on-device apps.  Our single login with multiple levels of access allows managers to stay connected to their sites and cameras – whether that’s three cameras in one location or hundreds of cameras spread throughout multiple sites – on the device of their choice.” Read the rest of this entry »

Mobile Monitoring – A Must for Today’s IP Video Security Surveillance

November 16, 2011

Today’s enterprise is full of mobile employees who rely on their smartphones and tablets to stay connected.  A recent survey by iPass found 95 percent of mobile employees have smartphones and 91 percent using use it for work. The survey also found that 44 percent of mobile employees own a tablet.  As smartphone and tablets continue to increase in popularity, all key business functions need to be accessed on the go – including security.  In fact, the Department of Defense recently announced it has approved Android-based mobile OS on its networks.

At ControlByNet we provide our customers including security personnel, business owners, residential users and video surveillance installers  the ability to stay connected to their security on any connected device.  Our i-flashback solution works seamlessly with Internet Explorer, Safari, Chrome and Firefox as well as connected devices including the iPhone, iPad, Windows Mobile, Android and Blackberry. Our single login with multiple levels of access allows managers to stay connected to their sites and cameras in the office, at home or on the go – whether that’s three cameras in one location or hundreds of cameras spread throughout multiple sites.

Denver Children’s Specialists moved from separate DVRs to ControlByNet’s solution to monitor its six locations throughout Colorado .

“I now use my iPhone to access live video to check on waiting rooms, patient activity, as well as archives.  By having our video hosted by CBN we not only ensure the safety of the data but also make it very easy for me to check on all locations from a single login.  Now whether I am on location at one site or enjoying time away from the office, one login on my iPhone enables me to virtually check in on all six locations,” said Jonathan Lee, partner in Denver Children’s Specialists.
